AMEP

AMEP (Association Marocaine des Eglises Protestantes)
Since 1990, the English speaking churches in Morocco sought to find a legal standing in Morocco. They existed for many years in a legal netherworld permitted to exist but having no legal status that allowed them to open bank accounts, rent properties or do anything legally in the name of the church.

Finally, in March 2004, statutes were granted by the government giving churches in Morocco the right to have legal standing through AMEP, Association Marocaine des Eglises Protestantes.

Currently, CIPC (Casablanca International Protestant Church), TIC (Tangiers International Church) and RIC (Rabat International Church) comprise the English-speaking side of AMEP. There is also a French-speaking contingent. Assemblee Chretienne in Rabat has created sister churches in Casablanca, El Jadida, Agadir and Settat.

It is the goal of AMEP to encourage the churches around the kingdom of Morocco and to facilitate humanitarian projects that help with the needs of Morocco.
